Cigar A.I.^™

The Society's private sommelier.

The Cigar Connoisseur Society^™ keeps a register, holds its counsel, and opens its rooms to members alone. Cigar A.I. is where that counsel is rendered.

A member names a cigar, or scans its band, and the sommelier returns what is known of it — origin, wrapper, binder, filler, strength, and the notes it is said to carry. A member's own smoking is kept alongside it: a private journal, a humidor, a wishlist. None of it is shown to another member. A cellar and the notes kept on it belong to the member who keeps them, and to no one else.

What is verified, and what is not

Every fact on a cigar's card is checked against a real source before it is shown as fact. Where a detail cannot be confirmed, the card says so, plainly, and leaves the space empty. A claim is verified, or it is marked as reported and unconfirmed, or it is absent. It is never invented to make a card look complete. The Society would rather publish less and be believed.

What it refuses

Cigar A.I. carries no advertising. No manufacturer and no retailer can purchase a place in a recommendation, or purchase the word verified. A card is accurate or it is not, and nothing changes that for a fee.

There is no public feed, no social layer, and no mechanism built to hold a member's attention past the point of usefulness. An individual record is never sold and never handed to a third party. The work is funded by membership, and by research drawn only from anonymized and aggregated figures — never from a member's own record, never traceable back to one.

The door

Membership is by invitation, and the door is the whole of the marketing. The register is numbered: the first hundred invitations are reserved by the Founder personally, and a number, once retired, is never issued again.
